Mild Steel Platen for Shopmate 48 belt grinder

Description

A replacement mild steel platen sized and tapped to fit a Shopmate 48 belt grinder.

A mild steel platen wears with use and will gradually lose its flatness and develop divots in spots with heavy grinding. This is a replacement for a worn out platen, reversible so both sides can be used. It can easily be surface-ground to return it to flat and the edges can be shaped for custom grinding applications like sweeping plunge lines.
